This is the second interview of my Taking Control Series which has been developed to give you lots of ways you can start to feel more in control, whatever your journey looks like.

I interviewed the amazing Mike Johnson-Ellis, co-founder of Twodads.u.k, and Daddy to two gorgeous children through surrogacy, with his husband Wes. We talk about their journey to become parents and the process they went through with surrogacy. We also talk about the myths regarding things going wrong and perceived legal complications.

If you are looking in to surrogacy as a route to parenthood, or are considering starting a family in a same-sex relationship, Mike gives lots of great advice on how to start the process.

The surrogacy journey can seem very overwhelming, particularly at the start when there is so much information to take in and decisions to be made. If you don't know anyone that has experience of surrogacy to help you, then it can be ahrd to make some of these decisions.

There is more information and support now than ever before, and Two Dads are doing great work to increase it further. There are also counsellors working with Fertility Clinics that can support you through this experience.

I've been recording interviews with some amazing people working in the Fertility industry to get some insight and advice on how you can take back control of your Fertility journey and your life, whatever your situation, and I will be continuing to share them over the next few weeks.
